Effective October 13, 2026. SMVrater is operated by 9GG LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.

This page states plainly how SMVrater produces a result, where your photo and recording go, and what a score can and cannot tell you.

Photo results are written by AI

Photo scores, notes, strengths and suggestions are generated by an AI vision model, not by a person. The model is Google Gemini. If Gemini is unavailable, Alibaba Cloud's Qwen model is used instead. Both are reached through OpenRouter. Your photo is sent to that provider when you tap Evaluate. No one at 9GG LLC sees your photo, and no human reviews your result.

Agreeableness scores come from your own answers

The agreeableness profile is a short self-report questionnaire. It is not a psychological test, it has not been validated against any clinical or research instrument, and it does not diagnose personality or any condition. Each answer option carries fixed points for gratitude, entitlement, temperament or lifestyle expectations, and software averages them. The same answers always give the same score. Someone who picks the answers that sound best will get a higher score than their behavior deserves, so the result is only as honest as the answers.

Restaurant price levels are estimated by an AI model from the names you type. The model can be wrong, can confuse two places with the same name, and does not recognize every restaurant. A place it does not recognize is left out of the score. Where a person eats is a rough signal of spending habits and says nothing certain about their character.

Voice scores are computed by measurement software

The voice score is not produced by a generative AI model. Software on our own server measures the sound of the recording (pitch, resonance, smoothness, vocal fry, harshness and pitch movement) and converts the measurements to a score. The feedback sentences are pre-written and chosen by your measurements. Your recording is deleted as soon as it is scored and is not sent to any outside provider.

What the photo score rests on

The model is instructed to score on a 1.0 to 10.0 scale where 5.0 is average for adults and 7.0 is clearly above average. That calibration is an instruction to the model. It is not a statistical comparison against a measured sample of people. A photo score is one model's opinion of one image. Lighting, angle, lens, clothing and expression change it, and the same photo can receive a slightly different score if it is rated twice.

What the voice score rests on

The cut-offs come from published research on what listeners tend to find attractive in male and female voices. They have not been validated against listener ratings of SMVrater users, and the scoring has been tested on a limited set of recordings. Microphone quality, room noise, a cold or tiredness all move the result. Use the number to compare your own recordings over time, not as a verdict.

The male and female rubrics

You choose the rubric. SMVrater does not detect or infer your sex or gender. The two rubrics reflect conventional attractiveness research and weigh features differently. They are a simplification and do not represent every standard of beauty or every culture's preferences.

Not medical or professional advice

SMVrater is for entertainment and personal self-improvement. It is not a medical device and it does not diagnose, treat or assess any health condition. Suggestions are limited to things you control, such as grooming, hair, skincare, training, posture, clothing fit, photo technique and how you use your voice. SMVrater is built not to recommend surgery, cosmetic procedures or extreme dieting. See a doctor or another qualified professional before changing your diet or exercise.

Your well-being

A score describes one photo or one recording. It does not measure your worth, and people are routinely found attractive by others in ways no score captures. If thinking about your appearance causes you distress, or you find yourself checking scores compulsively, please stop using SMVrater and talk to a doctor or a mental health professional. In the United States you can call or text 988 at any time to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Elsewhere, contact your local emergency number or crisis line.

What SMVrater refuses

The photo model is instructed to refuse photos with no person, photos where more than one person is the subject, nude or sexually explicit photos, and photos of anyone who could be under 18. It is instructed not to guess identity, name, ethnicity or health conditions. These checks are automated and can make mistakes in both directions. A refused photo does not use your free rating.

Report a result

If a result is offensive, inappropriate or plainly wrong, use the Report a problem with this result link under the result, or write to support+smvrater@9gg.app. Tell us the date and time of the rating and what was wrong. We do not keep your photo or the written notes, so please describe or paste the text you are reporting. We read every report and use them to correct the scoring instructions.

Money, ads and affiliations

SMVrater is free today: one photo rating, one voice rating and one agreeableness profile every 30 days. It shows no advertising and contains no affiliate links or sponsored recommendations. No product, clinic, gym or brand pays to appear in your results. We do not sell personal data. If we add a paid plan, the price will be shown before you buy.

SMVrater is an independent product of 9GG LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google, Alibaba, OpenRouter, Uptodown or any app store. "SMV" is used here as an informal term for the scores this app produces.
