Terms of Service

Effective October 15, 2026. SMVrater is operated by 9GG LLC, 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.

These terms are an agreement between you and 9GG LLC ("we", "us"). They apply to the SMVrater website and the SMVrater Android app. By creating an account or using SMVrater you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use SMVrater.

1. Who can use SMVrater

You must be 18 or older and able to enter into a binding contract where you live. You confirm this when you create an account and again before each rating.

2. Your account

Use an email address you control and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account. One person may hold one account. Tell us at support+smvrater@9gg.app if you believe someone else has used yours.

3. What SMVrater does

SMVrater gives one photo, one voice recording, or one set of questionnaire answers a score from 1.0 to 10.0 together with strengths and suggestions. Photo results are written by an AI model. Voice scores are computed by acoustic measurement software. Agreeableness scores are computed by software from your answers, with restaurant price levels estimated by an AI model. How this works, and the limits of it, are set out on the Disclosures page, which forms part of these terms.

One photo rating, one voice rating and one agreeableness profile are free every 30 days. A photo or recording that is refused, or a rating that fails, does not use your free rating. We may change the free allowance, or change or end any feature, at any time.

Paid options

Two paid options are sold on the website through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and are shown before you pay; tax may be added where the law requires it. Outside the United States, the Stripe checkout page may offer to charge you in your local currency, such as pounds, euros, or Canadian, Australian or New Zealand dollars. Stripe sets that exchange rate and shows the exact local amount before you confirm, and you can choose to pay in US dollars instead. Nothing is charged without your action.

5-rating pack, US$3.99, one time. Adds five ratings of any kind to your account. They do not expire and are used only after your free rating for that month. An account that has bought a pack also gets the full seven-day voice coaching plan and the "in your own words" analysis, which uses one rating each time. There is no renewal.
Plus, US$5.99 a month. Up to 30 ratings in each monthly billing period, the combined SMV card, the full seven-day voice coaching plan and the "in your own words" analysis, which uses one rating each time. Plus renews automatically every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Manage plan in the app or by emailing us; Plus then stays active until the end of the period you paid for and does not renew.

Invites. Your account has an invite link. When a new person signs up through it, confirms their email address and completes a first rating, one extra rating is added to their account and one to yours. One account can earn up to 20 extra ratings this way. Invite ratings have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are removed with the account. Inviting yourself, creating accounts to collect ratings or sending the link as spam is not allowed, and we may remove ratings earned that way. We may change or end invites at any time.

Refunds. If you have not used any rating from a purchase, email support+smvrater@9gg.app within 14 days and we will refund it in full. Once a paid rating has been used, payments are not refundable, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. A rating that is refused or fails is never counted as used.

United Kingdom and European Economic Area. If you live there, you have a legal right to cancel a purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. Write to support+smvrater@9gg.app from the email address on your account. When you use a paid rating inside those 14 days you are asking us to start the service at once, so we may keep a proportionate amount for the ratings already delivered and refund the rest.

Australia and New Zealand. Our service comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law and the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act. Nothing in these terms limits those guarantees or the remedies they give you, including a refund for a major failure.

Deleting your account cancels Plus immediately and removes any unused pack ratings. We may change prices for future purchases and future billing periods; we will email Plus subscribers at least 14 days before a price change takes effect.

4. What the scores are, and what they are not

Every score and every note is an automated opinion about a single photo or a single recording. It can be wrong. The same person can score differently in a different photo, in different light, or on a different day. Scores are provided for entertainment and personal self-improvement.

SMVrater does not provide medical, psychological, nutritional, fitness or other professional advice, and nothing in a result is a diagnosis. A score is not a statement about your worth as a person. Do not rely on a score for any decision about your health, your relationships, your work or your finances. Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet or training, or if thoughts about your appearance are causing you distress.

5. Your photos and recordings

You keep all rights in the photos and recordings you submit. You give us permission to transmit and process each one for the single purpose of producing the rating you asked for, including sending a photo to the AI model providers named in the Privacy Policy. This permission ends when the rating is delivered. We do not keep, publish or train AI models on your photos or recordings.

Each time you submit, you confirm that the photo shows you, the recording is your own voice, or the questionnaire answers are your own, and that you have the right to submit it. Do not answer the questionnaire on behalf of another person or to rate another person.

6. Rules of use

You agree that you will not:

submit a photo or recording of another person, including a partner, a friend, a stranger or a public figure;
submit a photo or recording of anyone under 18;
submit nude or sexually explicit photos, or unlawful content;
use SMVrater or its results to harass, shame, rank or demean another person;
create more than one account, or use any other method, to get around the free rating allowance or the safety checks;
access SMVrater with scripts, bots or scrapers, overload it, probe it for vulnerabilities, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows this regardless of contract;
resell access to SMVrater or present its scores as a professional assessment.

We may refuse a rating, and we may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.

7. Sharing your score

Sharing is your choice. A share link shows score numbers to anyone who has it and cannot be recalled once sent. You are responsible for where you post it.

8. Our content

The SMVrater name, software, design, rubrics and text belong to 9GG LLC or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the website and the app for your own non-commercial use under these terms. You may share your own results.

9. Third-party services and app stores

SMVrater depends on outside services, including AI model providers, and may be unavailable when they are. If you got the app from an app store such as Uptodown or Google Play, that store's own terms also apply to your download. The store is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for SMVrater or for support.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using SMVrater and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the service. Sections 4, 8 and 11 through 14 continue to apply after your account ends.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

SMVrater is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, 9GG LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that scores are accurate, consistent or suited to any purpose, or that the service will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

12. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, 9GG LLC and its owners, employees and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for emotional distress, loss of data or loss of profits, arising from or related to SMVrater or these terms. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the amount you paid us for SMVrater in the 12 months before the claim arose, or US$100 if that amount is greater.

Some places do not allow certain disclaimers or limits. In those places, sections 11 and 12 apply only as far as local law permits, and nothing in these terms removes consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract.

13. Your responsibility to us

If someone brings a claim against 9GG LLC because you broke these terms, for example by submitting a photo of another person, you agree to cover the resulting losses and reasonable legal costs, as far as the law allows.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, and you and we consent to those courts. If you are a consumer living in a country whose law gives you the right to bring a claim at home, or the protection of mandatory local rules, you keep that right. Please write to support+smvrater@9gg.app first. Most problems can be settled by email.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date at the top shows the current version. If a change is material, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Using SMVrater after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

16. General

These terms, the Privacy Policy and the Disclosures page are the whole agreement between you and us about SMVrater. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we do not enforce a term, that is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor that takes over the service. We may offer these terms, the Privacy Policy and our other policies in other languages for convenience. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version governs.
