Check how you sound before the interview
Interviewers hear your voice before they weigh your answers, especially on a phone screen. Record 20 seconds, see your scores for smoothness, tone, melody and vocal fry, and run the drills in the week before the call.
One voice rating is free every 30 days. For adults 18 and older.
Score, practice, rescore
- Read a short passage aloud for 20 seconds. You get a 1 to 10 voice score and a score for each part of your voice.
- SMVrater picks the parts that hold your score back and builds a seven-day plan of short drills, about six minutes a day.
- Record again. A before-and-after card shows how far your score moved, and you can share it.
A one-week routine
- Day one: record and read your breakdown.
- Days two to six: about six minutes of drills a day on your lowest areas.
- Day seven: record again and compare.
Questions
Does it grade my answers?
No. It measures the sound of your voice only. No speech content is read.
What should I read?
The app shows a short neutral passage. Reading the same passage each time makes your before and after comparable.
Is it free?
One voice rating is free every 30 days. The full seven-day plan comes with Plus (US$5.99 a month) or a US$3.99 rating pack.
Your recording is not kept
The recording is measured on our own server and deleted as soon as the score is computed. No person listens to it. Only the score numbers are saved, for your progress chart. The score is an automated measurement of how your voice sounds, not a judgment of you, and the drills are ordinary voice practice, not speech therapy or medical advice.
