Find your best voice in seven days

A voice score is only useful if it tells you what to practice. SMVrater turns your lowest sub-scores into a seven-day plan of short drills, then measures you again.

Score, practice, rescore

1. Read a short passage aloud for 20 seconds. You get a 1 to 10 voice score and a score for each part of your voice.
2. SMVrater picks the parts that hold your score back and builds a seven-day plan of short drills, about six minutes a day.
3. Record again. A before-and-after card shows how far your score moved, and you can share it.

What the plan looks like

• Up to three focus areas, taken from your lowest sub-scores.
• Two drills a day, about six minutes in total. Examples: humming on the chest for resonance, breath through the last word for vocal fry, question-and-answer reading for melody.
• Tick each day off. Day seven is rescore day.

Questions

Is this a replacement for a voice coach or speech therapist?

No. The drills are standard voice-practice exercises chosen by software from your score. If you have pain, hoarseness that lasts, or a medical concern about your voice, see a doctor or a speech-language pathologist.

How is the plan chosen?

From the score numbers of your latest voice rating. Sub-scores under 7.5 become focus areas, lowest first, and each has three drills that rotate through the week.

How do I see whether it worked?

Record again. The result shows your previous score next to the new one, for the overall score and for each part, and gives you a before-and-after card you can share.

Your recording is not kept

The recording is measured on our own server and deleted as soon as the score is computed. No person listens to it. Only the score numbers are saved, for your progress chart. The score is an automated measurement of how your voice sounds, not a judgment of you, and the drills are ordinary voice practice, not speech therapy or medical advice.
